Sana Mohammadi graduated from the Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in 2020. Following her MD graduation, she worked as a physician at the Iran University of Medical Sciences in the COVID-19 hygiene center during the pandemic until December 2022. Simultaneously, she served as the head of the COVID-19 vaccination program for seven months.Â
For her MD thesis, Sana focused on breast cancer in radiology. After graduation, she decided to pursue her research interest in neuroradiology. Since February 2023, she has been working as a research assistant at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, under the supervision of Professor Farzad Fatehi.
Sana's research primarily focuses on utilizing MR neuroimaging to gain deeper insights into various aspects of healthcare, including neurodegenerative diseases, movement disorders, sleep disturbances, the neurological impacts of COVID-19, brain metastasis, and iron monitoring within the brain. Over time, she has developed expertise in MRI physics and clinical applications, advanced neuroimaging analyses, and statistical analysis. Sana is highly motivated to collaborate within the radiology research community.
Currently, her main focus is advancing MRI research by integrating advanced image analysis and programming languages. As an aspiring radiologist, her ultimate aspiration is to advance the field of neuroimaging.
